As usual, the prices you’ll see here are from the day we selected the booties. More often than not, stores have random sales on their websites, so the price of the day can be cheaper 💵♥︎ than what you see here!
That’s why we show as many trust-worthy retailers as possible, even the ones we are not affiliated with, so you can choose the best for you!

Do you need organic baby booties?

Of course, barefoot as much as possible is the best for babies. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), babies and toddlers’ feet develop best when not restrained in shoes.

However, you can’t always leave the baby with naked feet. Therefore, there is a functionality and a comfort aspect in dressing your baby’s feet. Also, how cute is a baby in a complete outfit? ♥︎

Probably the baby booties were created by some clever mom trying to fix this! They are super soft, pretty much like socks, but they have a slightly more elaborate design, almost like a shoe, which helps them stay on the foot.

Babu booties will do great from newborn, for warmth and cuteness, to first walkers and toddlers. The only difference is that you must go with anti-slippery soles for the first walkers.

In conclusion, baby booties, organic or not, add a layer of protection without restraining the feet’s natural movements, at any age of the baby or toddler.

Choosing the right bootie size online

You may or you may not be social distancing, but shopping for babies shoes online is a bittersweet experience. Every single time.

In one hand, all the comfort of online shopping. On the other hand: sizing.

So here is what you have to consider in order to avoid shopping mistakes:

  1. draw your baby’s foot on a paper
  2. measure the inches between the more distant points
  3. check the brand “size chart”(each brand has it’s own shapes and measurements)
  4. read mom’s reviews. They know from experience if that brand runs small or large
  5. when in doubt: size up! Always! Baby will grow into those booties.

Finally, never leave your baby or toddler in tight shoes. It is best to go barefoot than in tight poor quality shoes!
