Supporting local economy and preventing the spread of the virus
With the gradual reopening of business and restaurants all over the country, the CDC is recommending people to wear non-medical face-covering or reusable cloth face masks as a complementary way to prevent the virus spread. Concerning the use of cloth masks, we know how divided the opinions can be and we know that some people would like to go to support local businesses buying Made in USA Face Masks.
Shopping from brands that manufacture their products in the USA helps the local economy and in times like these, it is the kind of thing that can make a huge difference. We also selected masks that are either made of organic cloth, or which proceeds are being donated to charity, or have an eco-friendly print process. These face masks are from brands that are trying to make a difference, not only profit.
Here at The Mood Guide, we talk a lot about how to approach the Covid-19 issue and we decided not to get in the thick of it. For 2 main reasons: the policies and recommendations change daily & there is a lot of unreliable fake news out there.
However, we understand that some people are choosing to wear non-surgical cloth face masks & we believe it can help with containing the spread. Therefore we decided to also group them by mood and maybe encourage someone to wear a mask, donate it, or offer it to someone. 🌿
Here are some of the CDC instructions concerning the use of non-surgical face masks:
∙ Cloth face coverings are NOT surgical masks or N95 respirators
∙ Wash your hands before putting on your face covering
∙ Put it over your nose and mouth and secure it under your chin
∙ Try to fit it snugly against the sides of your face
∙ Make sure you can breathe easily
∙ Wash it with warm water and soap after use
∙ The cloth mask should not be worn by children under age 2, or anyone who has trouble breathing, is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance
We believe in doing whatever we can to make our lives and everybody else’s lives better and easier and we strongly recommend turning to the CDC and the WHO websites for updated accurate information.
